sepTUNESber, day twenty

this is an interesting one...

day twenty
"A Song You Listen to When You're Angry"

...because you can be angry for so many different reasons.
and in so many different scenarios.

and you can be angry in many different ways.
disappointed anger.
seething anger.
bitter anger.
you catch my drift?

well...i guess i'll just post a few. ;)

this is a good disappointed anger song.
or just plain hurt and angry.

One Republic ft. Timbaland - "Apologize"

this is a good old fashioned, seething anger song.
ya know, for when there's a fire starting in your heart.

Adele - Rolling in the Deep

(i love all the plate smashing in this video...
really gets the point across!)

and of course a bitter angry song...
taylor swift can do it justice in more than one way.

sorry this post was late...
blogger was being a drama queen yesterday.

sepTUNESber, day nineteen

wow. so this one is hard.
i don't even know what to do here...

day nineteen
"A Song from Your Favorite Album"

i have never been able to pin down just one album that i love.
because i love too many different types of music...
it's just too hard!

i guess i'll just give my top 5 then.

i'm defining favorite album(s) as this:
an album where you don't want to press the skip button. ever.
you listen to the whole album in its entirety, love all the songs,
and can't wait to listen to it again when it's done.
and it stands the test of time. you can't quite get tired of it.

5. Taylor Swift - Fearless - The Best Day
this isn't a hit song, but i cry every time i hear it.
i can only hope that cora fayne loves me as much as taylor loves her mama. :-)

4. Dave Matthews Band - Crash -
Crash Into Me
i will never tire of this song. or album. so great.

3. My Chemical Romance -
The Black Parade - The End.
posted these guys before.
so amazing.
this is a concept album, which i wish there was more of,
so it's so awesome to listen to the whole thing.

2. Owl City - Ocean Eyes -
The Bird and the Worm

these songs are all just so happy.
doesn't matter what mood i'm in this album
will lift my spirits.
even the sad songs somehow sound cheerful. :-)

1. Justin Timberlake - Futuresex Lovesounds - LoveStoned

i mean are you surprised?
love me some jt.
i actually sat here for minutes trying to decide which one was my favorite.
i don't know if this is actually it, but i had to just pick one so that i didn't waste anymore time!

so what's your favorite album and song?

sepTUNESber, day eighteen

a switch up from the last post...

day eighteen
"A Song You Wish You Heard on the Radio"

alright...this is not too hard.

i really like this band a lot.
and i definitely don't think they've gotten enough air time.

i've picked up on some of their songs in movies and ads,
but haven't heard them much on the radio.
(at least not the radio here in georgia
on the stations i listen to...
please correct me if i'm wrong)

they seem to be pretty popular, which is confusing because i just don't hear them much.
which is a bummer. 'cause they're so boss.

Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
(this is what you've probably already heard of them)

Vampire Weekend - Oxford Comma
(one of my favorites from their debut album)

Vampire Weekend - One (Blake's Got a New Face)
(this one is just awesome)

Vampire Weekend - Cousins
(from their latest album, Contra, released in Jan '11)

ciao,

sepTUNESber, day seventeen

phew...this has been a busy weekend!
i hope everyone had an awesome time...
i know i sure did!

alright let's get down to business.

day seventeen
"A Song You Hear Often on the Radio"

this is actually an easy one and quite funny.

i think i posted this song on another day,
but i have to do it again.

my bro-in-law, sam, and i have had multiple conversations about this song.
and about how it's on the radio all the time.
and how we don't want to like this song, but we can't help it.

it's like audible crack or something.
and then once you've heard it...it's all you hear.

and you can't think of any other songs to sing, but this song.

good luck.

Ke$ha - Blow

---

i actually decided to throw this one in here, too.

it's her newest song and i've heard it so much
on the radio in the past few days.
 i'm obsessed with it!

so amazing!

Adele - Someone Like You

sepTUNESber, day sixteen

oh boy, this one's gonna be a toughie.

day sixteen
"A Song You Used to Love, but Now Hate"

hmmm....i've been racking my brain
and i just can't seem to bring any song to mind.

there are songs i get sick of after a while,
if they play them on the radio too much,
but if it's been a while since i last heard that song
i'm usually happy to hear it again.

i guess if i had to choose, this song would be it because i really did love this song when it first came out.
then it got overplayed, and now she's just got so many other awesome songs that i love, this one never got back up into the top ranks for me...

...buuuut i definitely don't hate it.
oh well. maybe it'll dawn on me later.

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

sepTUNESber, day fifteen

good evening, fine people of the interwebs.

day fifteen
"A Song That Describes You"

this song i hold near and dear to my heart.
i've had a lot of people in my life try to tell me who to be,
how to be, and when to be.

and for years i tried to please everyone,
just smile and be nice.

then i realized, i could be nice, but also true to myself.

that, my friends, is the only way to live, if you ask me.
i got to this point just in the last three years and it has truly set me free.

this song isn't for any one person in particular.
rather representing different groups of people that have tried to mold me into what they think i should be.
and it doesn't come from any place of bitterness or anger.
i just think this song describes the most recent me.
the me that has grown into her big girl underpants
and ain't afraid to let everybody know it.

and to all those people i say this.

Sara Bareilles - King of Anything

sepTUNESber, day fourteen

howdy, y'all!

today should be fun as well...

day fourteen
"A Song No One Would Expect You to Like"

it may be difficult to surprise anyone at this point,
because i have picked some pretty random stuff so far...
but who knows?! we'll give it a shot!

another two post day today, too. :-)

this band is totally english glam rock and i love it.
some of you may remember this song of theirs that blew up the radio...
oh about eight years ago.

but they've got more to offer than that people!

The Darkness -
One Way Ticket to Hell...and Back

that song isn't actually my favorite song of theirs,
but it's still pretty rad and i love it.

and my second pick was influenced by my wonderful father in law.
he burned this cd for me and i fell in love.

The Band -
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down

so did you expect that?! huh?!

well...did you?
